Overview of Makalu Base Camp Trek:
Makalu Base Camp trek is an adventurous journey offering most spectacular views of highest Mountains of the World 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th highest peak (Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse and Makalu) including several others! Makalu Trekking starts form the elevation of 400m; trek to Makalu Base Camp reaches until 4870m and fit for any travelers with no prior experience of walking. Trekking to Makalu Base Camp starts with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar and drive for next 4-5 hours in scenic mountain roads to reach Num village. We walk passing through Picturesque Mountain villages and hidden valley Encountering typical lifestyle of various ethnic groups of people!

Itinerary

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, Indra Adventure Holidays representatives will welcome you and transfer to hotel. Take time for rest, welcome dinner and Overnight in Kathmandu. (D)

After Breakfast in the Morning, time for Sightseeing Tours to visit some of the UNESCO World Heritage Listed sites and then Trek preparation time. Overnight in Kathmandu. (B)

In the morning after breakfast, Flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar (410m / 1345 ft) and drive to Num (1560m / 5118 ft) Flight: 1 hour | Drive: 5-6 hrs (B, L, D)

After breakfast, Trek from Num to Seduwa (1500m / 4921 ft) Walk: 5 – 6 hrs (B, L, D)

Trek from Seduwa to Tashigaon (2100m / 6889 ft) Walk: 4.5 – 5.5 hrs (B, L, D)

Trek from Tashigaon to Kauma (3500m / 11482 ft) Walk: 6.5 – 7 hrs (B, L, D)

Cross Shipton La (4125m / 13533 ft) and trek to Dobato (3700m / 12139 ft) Walk: 6 – 6.5 hrs (B, L, D)

Trek from Dobato to Yangri Kharka (3557m / 11669 ft) Walk: 5 – 6 hrs (B, L, D)

Trek from Yangri Kharka to Lengmale Kharkha (4410m / 14468 ft) Walk: 5 – 6 hrs (B, L, D)
